Give Budget Flower a Little Boost
A bowl of reasonably priced flower doesn’t have to stay basic. One inexpensive way to give it a little more oomph is to add kief. Sprinkle some on top of your bowl, and you’ve just leveled up your everyday flower without having to spring for a jar of premium bud.
Kief contains concentrated trichomes from flower, so keep in mind that a little can go a loooooooooong way. Start small, especially if you’re used to flower on its own.
Make Your Top Shelf Last Longer
Love premium flower but not necessarily the premium price? Try blending.
What’s blending? Pick up a larger quantity of budget-friendly flower and a smaller amount of the top-shelf stuff you love. Mixing the two lets you enjoy some of the flavor, aroma, and characteristics of your favorite flower while stretching that eighth considerably further.
Don’t Sleep on Edibles
If flower is your usual go-to, your weed budget might benefit from a little experimentation.
Edibles can be an affordable way to change up your routine, and because the experience is different from smoking or vaping, you may find that a relatively inexpensive product packs a wicked punch.
If you combine product types, keep in mind that edibles can take significantly longer to kick in and can last much longer than inhaled cannabis. Start low, give it time for the magic to work, and resist the classic “I don’t feel anything, I’ll take another one” trap. (We’ve all done it, so no shade to anyone who has fallen into the trap. No Need To Get Fancy
